LUKE AND MONTGOMERY

Luke and Montgomery grew up just 5.3 miles from each other and attended the same high school, just a grade apart, but they had never officially met. In 2018, at a post lacrosse game celebration at Tower 7 in Wrightsville Beach, a couple of moms, who wish to remain anonymous, got to talking and started to craft up a little plan…unbeknownst to Luke and Montgomery.

 After graduating from UNCW in 2020, Luke returned to Raleigh to begin his career. Montgomery was attending Virginia Tech but was sidelined by the pandemic in her junior year and had to return to Raleigh as well. Hmmmmm…That is when Luke decided to reach out to Montgomery and ask her out on a date which she agreed to. Little did they know, their love for sports, their love for their families and Wrightsville Beach would draw them together, and June 12th, 2020, would be the day that marked the start of forever.

Two years later on July 2nd, 2022, in the pouring rain at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, Luke, along with the help of those moms who still wish to remain anonymous, pulled off the ultimate surprise proposal and Montgomery undoubtedly said yes. As Luke and Montgomery stand on the brink of their wedding day, they are more in love than ever and beyond excited to start their new lives together as husband and wife.
